These photographs in and around New York were published as a collection in 1900 although the photographs themselves had been taken over a few years prior to that date.
Although originals of these 46 rare photographs are very difficult to find, you can now get them on a cd-rom prepared from original 19th century items held in a private collection. This cd-rom isn't mass produced but is compiled individually and personally for each purchaser so few copies exist. You can get one of them here.
A few sample images are set out below, followed by a complete list of all the views.

Union Square - looking Northwest from Corner Fourth Avenue and Fourteenth Street, 1890s (reduced in size)

The Casino and Knickerbocker Theater - Broadway, Thirty-ninth to Thirty-eighth Street, 1890s (reduced in size)
