 BookFiles are database files which you download and store on your computer. Costing just £5 or £8 each, they contain details of hundreds or thousands of old, rare and out-of-print books in specialist subject-areas offered for sale by British booksellers.
Old books for sale - British booksellers - book pricing records
Each BookFile contains books within a single specialist subject-area listed for sale on the UKBookWorld online database. Most BookFiles, compiled using search keywords provided by the booksellers themselves when cataloguing their stock, contain books dating from the 1700s through to the early 2000s including many which are hard to come by.
You open each BookFile with specially designed and easy-to-use BookCheck software which you need to download just once. You can download BookCheck now, free of charge, together with sample BookFiles, at the top of the right-hand column on this page.
Each BookFile contains a full description of every book offered for sale, together with its price and the name of the bookseller concerned. Clickable links from each item to the bookseller's personal website allow you to contact any bookseller direct.

You can't download this information from other online databases.
Online databases display your search results in small batches of 25 or 50 titles to a page in a fixed, unchangeable, text format on your screen. Because of this you can't then store those records permanently on your computer.
In contrast, BookFiles provide unique permanent databases on your computer. You can then search through and examine thousands of records at your leisure, giving you immediate opportunities for purchase coupled with the ability to conduct later study, research and analysis in a way that simply isn't possible with on-screen listings obtained from online databases.
New BookFiles for each subject-area are prepared every month to include the most recently-listed items. You can download updated information on your computer whenever you want, in any subject-area you want.
BookFiles provide both opportunity for acquiring hard-to-find or interesting old books, and permanent records of the approximate current market values of old books.
With time to study your search results, you'll almost certainly come across affordable titles in subject-areas of interest to you that you didn't know existed.
