** An outstandingly rare WW2 Restricted military intelligence report, every distributed copy with its own unique security number, this being 'Copy No. 500'.
Very few examples of this classified and security-numbered report have survived. Because of the report's extreme rarity, few collectors know these documents exist; only a tiny handful actually owns one.
WW2 RESTRICTED report Copy No. 500. Report on Pyrotechnic Firms and Personalities. Parts I, II and III.
BIOS Intelligence Report. Final report 304. British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (BIOS). Nov/Dec 1945.
** Detailed reports on investigations carried out at about 19 sites in Germany engaged in manufacting many different types of pyrotechnic material including tracer bullets, signal flares and cartridges, marker bombs and floats, smoke bombs and the like.
Duplicated typewritten reports in English, 10 x 7.5 inches, 25 x 19 cms, totalling about 40 pages.
Very good in original stapled card wrappers, although a little weak at foot of spine. Protected in a modern clear archival jacket.
Because of the sensitivity of the material this composite report contained, it was suppressed, and not subsequently issued in unclassified form.
One of the rarest of the BIOS reports.
